January 2, 2008 Former WBC Flyweight Champion Yo-Sam Choi passed away. On Christmas day Choi fought and defeated Henri Amol on points and collapsed after the decision. Choi was rushed to the hospital where he had a 2 hour brain surgery. On Tuesday Jan 1, 2008 Choi was declared brain dead and officially died on January 2, 2008. Lets keep Choi and his family in our prayers. Once again R.I.P to Yo-Sam Choi, one of our boxing family and forever a champion. In a good act of kindness the WBC donated $10,000 to the Choi family.
