1. Kendall Holt will get his rematch with Ricardo Torres on July 5 at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas live on Showtime. As you may recall, Holt went to Colombia to fight Torres in September 2007 and was TKOd. The crowd at the fight threw bottles and other objects in the ring as well as an unusual officiating. Holt protested to the WBO but was denied. So Holt signed with Top Rank who also represents Torres and here is the rematch.2. Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced he will pay the operating budget for the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions in his hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan May 5 through May 10. The tournament will be hosted by Michigan Golden Gloves, the same non-profit organization that helped launch Mayweather's career. It is great to see Mayweather give back to the organization that helped him develop his skills and achieve his dreams.
