Just added to the March 8 card featuring Samuel Peter vs Oleg Maskaev in Cancun Mexico is John "the Quietman" Ruiz 42(29)-7-1 taking on Jameel "Big Time" McCline 38(23) -8-3. I look at this fight as a crossroads fight for these two men. Both fighters are older and have been through a lot in their careers. Ruiz, 36, is a former 2-time WBA Heavyweight Champion and 1-2 in his last 3 fights. McCline 37, is a 3 time title challenger coming off back to back losses and in desperate need of a win to continue his career at some sort of contender level. I believe this will be a good fight for both guys with the possibility at another title shot down the road for the winner. The loser maybe considered an opponent and only be called for up and coming fighters who need a bigger test before going to the championship caliber fights. Hopefully with these thoughts in the back of the fighters mind it will be a great fight. However for the loser I guess they may have that Boyz II Men song End of the Road playing in the background as they leave the ring.
