1. Contrary to what was believed, Joe Calzaghe is NOT vacating his WBO Super Middleweight Title. The WBO Title is the one Joe has had since longest. It was his first title and he is not vacating it. Calzaghe plans to fight at Super Middleweight again after his fight with Roy Jones Jr. The next fight Calzaghe has at Super Middleweight will be his 22nd defense of his WBO title. The purse bid for July 22 between #1 WBO ranked Karoly Balzsay and #2 ranked Jean Pascal will be for the interim WBO Super Middleweight Title.
2. Do not miss George Foreman's new reality show Family Foreman on TVLand at 10pm EST. The six 30 minute episodes will the behind the scenes life of George Foreman, from being a husband, father, Minister, businessman etc.
3. Manny Pacquiao has decided to vacate his WBC Super Featherweight Title and keep his WBC Lightweight Title. Pacquiao had until July 28 to make his decision, but did not wait till the last minute.
4. The Miguel Cotto-Antonio Margarito tickets are not selling as well as hoped. There are plenty of tickets left for those who may want to attempt to go to the fight. I wish I could. Go to ticketmaster.com to find out what is still available.
5. Other Joe Calzaghe news. Calzaghe said he may fight Kelly Pavlik after his fight with Roy Jones Jr. Calzaghe said he needs fights that motivate him and a fight with Pavlik motivates him.
