Chad Dawson has officially relinquished his WBC Light Heavyweight Title and is moving forward with fighting Antonio Tarver on October 11. The WBC is a little upset because they twice gave Dawson exceptions to fight other fighters with the promise of fighting Adrian Diaconu. The WBC feels Dawson was more influenced by television networks(Showtime) than by following the rules of the WBC. So the fight between Dawson and Tarver will be for Tarver's IBF and IBO Light Heavyweight Titles. The location of the fight is uncertain but looks to be at either the Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut.
