Nate Campbell defeated Juan Diaz by Split decision, .114-113 Diaz, 115-112, 116-111 Campbell. In a fight I thought that Diaz would win a close decision, it turned out to be Nate Campbell who did. Campbell kept up his clean effective punching through the whole fight and never seemed to tire. Campbell landed very well to the body of Diaz as well as to the head with the right hand. In round 6, Campbell was deducted a point for a headbutt and Diaz was cut over his left eye. However replays showed that the cut was caused by a left hand punch in a clinch. Therefore Campbell lost a point for no reason. The cut opened up over Diaz's eye and affected his vision, along with the huge bruise under his left eye caused from Campbell's right hands. As the fight wore on, Campbell continued to land his clean effective punches as Diaz was losing his vision in his left eye. Diaz slowed a little and Campbell just took over. Campbell punished Diaz to his swollen and cut eye as well as the body. In some sequences, Campbell pushed Diaz backwards which is unusual for Diaz. It was a great win for Campbell whose birthday was yesterday. So Happy Birthday and a Great Win to Nate Campbell.
