1. Universum Box-Promotion won the right to promote the rematch between WBA heavyweight champion Ruslan Chagaev and seven-foot former champion Nikolai Valuev. Universum won the right with a purse bid of $4,354,840. The fight is scheduled to take place on May 31.2. Kevin Cunningham in no longer the trainer for WBA Junior Middleweight Champion Cory Spinks. Cunningham is still the manager of Spinks. Cunningham said it was time for the two to go there seperate ways and he did not state who was replacing him as trainer.
3. Gary Shaw said he would release Vivian Harris if Harris bought out his contract. Harris has agreed but nothing has happened yet.
4. Tye Fields-Hasim Rahman fight may soon come true. Bob Arum and Top Rank are hard at work on this fight, so don't be suprised if this fight happens soon.
