1. HBO has signed Ricky Hatton to a 3 fight deal. Golden Boy Promotions will be representing Hatton in this deal.
2. 3 time World Champion William Joppy who was beaten up Friday by Lucian Bute is retiring from boxing.
3. Joan Guzman will defend his WBO Super Featherweight title against interim champion Alex Arthur on April 26, 2008.
4. Gary Shaw protested the Vasquez-Marquez III decision stating the ref should not have taken the point away for low blows or a knockdown. His protest did nothing as the decision for Vasquez stays the same.
5. Rumor has it Arturo Gatti will be boxing in a 3 round exhibition on March 22. Seems he just can't say goodbye even after getting his a$$ whooped last time out. I honestly hope this is just rumor because he needs to move on.

Nice blog.
I swear HGolden Boy is trying to rule the boxing world. This move doesnt surprise me Hatton can still make some money and he is in a loaded division. The funny thing is that Oscar usually signs fighters that he loses to, B-Hopkins, Sugar Shane, PBF.
Thanks for coming by man. Yeah Golden Boy is trying to clean up boxing and put it back on mainstream. I hope they can do it too. Ricky has plenty of money to make as long as he stays away from certain fighters like Floyd who know how to switch up their styles to win. This is why Hatton will not fight Junior Witter. FYI Golden Boy has not signed Floyd Mayweather Jr. Floyd is working close to Golden Boy to better suit his Mayweather Promotions company he just started. Mayweather Promotions is doing business with music tours, boxing and other ventures. I guess you could say Floyd and his people are using Golden Boy as mentors but he has never signed with Golden Boy. However, Bernard Hopkins and Sugar Shane Mosley are both signed with Golden Boy. If you can't beat them then join them LOL. Please come by again and get some more boxing info here man.
